Southco Apprentice Pippa Dressler-Pearson Earns Worcestershire Apprentice of the Year

Pippa Dressler-Pearson, Southco, with BBC network The Apprentice winner Tim Campbell (L) and James Purser, Worcester Bosch (R).

Pippa Dressler-Pearson, one of Southco’s Apprentice Engineers located in the Worcester, UK facility has been awarded Worcestershire’s Top Apprentice for 2016. Created by the Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership and Worcestershire County Council, the annual awards recognize contributions apprentices have made within their selected businesses.

It was Dressler-Pearson’s contribution to the development of a new guide book designed to help new engineers, students and apprentices rapidly adapt to their new working surroundings that made her stand out from 24 finalists.

As part of her award, Pippa will also act as ambassador for the Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership, where she will be working with local schools and employers to promote the value of apprenticeships. Her training provider, Worcestershire Group Training Association, recommended her as a role model for young people, saying: “The high standard Pippa has set means she will be a great ambassador for apprenticeships”.

Managing Director at Southco Manufacturing Ltd., Pascal Testeil, said “This is a fantastic achievement; one that Pippa should be immensely proud of. Pippa has a great approach to her work, and with her drive for learning, she has enormous potential to continue her development and go far in her career.”
